GFP 2021 Announces Virtual Conference

When planning GFP 2021 it was clear from the outset that a fully in-person event would not be viable. Until very recently we had hoped that we would be able to offer a hybrid conference format, with the in-person component that is so highly valued in our community. Unfortunately, COVID 19’s Delta variant is driving up case numbers, even in countries with high vaccination rates. After consultations with the IEEE, it has become clear that the uncertainties and safety concerns that ensue from this development make an in-person meeting all but impossible.

GFP will thus be held in a fully virtual format during its planned dates, and we will do our best to foster the extensive personal interactions that the conference is known for.
